Geopolitical tensions, conflicting data laws, and reliance on U.S. hyperscalers complicate Europe’s cloud landscape. True sovereignty requires full control over infrastructure, code, and data—something public clouds can’t guarantee. This article argues that a cloud-native private cloud offers the most reliable path to sovereignty, security, and cost efficiency.
