GBBC Digital Finance is now one of over 200 affiliated members of the International Organization of Securities Commissions, which also includes 35 national regulators.
The hosting firm, one of North America’s largest, settled $250 million in secured debt and settled with about 11 companies.
The commission alleges the defendants fraudulently solicited over $7 million worth of bitcoin and ether and misappropriated a portion of the funds in a Ponzi-like scheme.
A Binance.US spokesperson reportedly said only the exchange’s employees had access to its accounts, seemingly including any at Silvergate Bank.
