⚠️ CRITICAL: Configure Your Settings to Avoid Burning Credits
By default, Nosana deployments use an “Infinite Strategy,” meaning your instance runs 24/7 until your credits hit zero.
An NVIDIA 5090 costs roughly $0.48/hour. If left running continuously, your $70 allocation will disappear in less than six days. Look at how quickly uptime adds up:
- 24 hours/day → ~$350/month (Burns your credits in days)
- 12 hours/day → ~$175/month
- 8 hours/day → ~$117/month
- 1 hour/day → ~$14.40/month (Stretches your credits for the whole hackathon)
How to make your $70 last throughout the hackathon:
- When creating your deployment at deploy.nosana.com/deployments/create, click “Configure.”
- Open the “Deployment Configuration” tab.
- Select “Simple” from the Deployment Strategy dropdown.
- Keep Replica Count = 1 and set your preferred Container Timeout.
- Always manually stop deployments when you are not actively using them.
